Welcome to the
Ninja Information Database!
This is a website designed for the sole purpose of gathering people of similar interests into one place to exchange ideas, and to encourage and help people interested in the ninja arts find a legitimate source to learn from.
This website is not designed to teach you martial arts. Since each person and what each person wants is different, learning a particular style is somewhat of a personal matter and it should be researched and practiced on your own time. But we will be trying to gather, and provide information on the different Japanese martial arts, particularly those used by the ninja of Japan's feudal era. Hopefully this will educate the less experienced individuals and help them be able to make a more informed decision as to which path to take.
This website will hopefully give you ideas, and will include as supplementary information; some things that the site owner and our administrators and moderators have learned, modified, or invented, as well as product reviews and the field testing of equipment.
Most of the content on this website is taken directly from US Military Training Manuals, Government produced publications, YouTube Video Tutorials, Official Websites, and even some pages from a private investigator manual...(See Tailing and Surveillance). Some has also been obtained from historical ninjutsu documents.
We gather information from various sources, and we will attempt to make sure it is accurate and practical before we post it here.
They might or might not be tactics taught in a Bujinkan, Genbukan, or Jinenkan, or even be considered "ninjutsu" by their standards. But we believe the information can be very useful and can help supplement anyone's training. After all, if the historical ninja of Japan were around today, they would be making use of this information as well - they wouldn't strictly use their own manuals from 500 years ago. Ninjutsu's priciples included adaptation, so don't be afraid to open your mind to different ideas.
(we still HIGHLY recommend learning the history of the ninja, and to diligently seek out recognized, respected, and accredited, Bujinkan/Genbukan/Jinenkan/Ninpo/ for an even better understanding of what ninjutsu really was, and is)
The second goal of this website is to make it more informative, have more historically accurate content, and have links to only the best sources of information and equipment.
That's where you come in!!! Contribute to the forums, and leave suggestions! Tell us what YOU want on this site! And Especially if you see something legitimately wrong, (historically inaccurate) please let us know so we can fix it!
You're not required to do any of this. However, if you don't contribute to making the site better, then you likely won't be taken seriously if you complain about it in our forums. Just being fair.
Members have 100% access to the site including the "My Secrets" section. Members can also create profiles, post in the forums, browse profiles, receive assignments in the future (voluntary), upload video's, upload pictures, and they also get to know that they are part of a community that helps each other improve at what they love to do, and help guide them to an honest walk through ninjutsu.
Non-Members can see about 65% of available content. They cannot access most of the forums due to privacy for the members.

As the creator of the NID, I want this website to be an information exchange super-center. And all of you can make that possible. I'm tired of running into walls, and wading through countless numbers of fake "ninja masters" just to find true and reliable information, and I'm sure you are too. That's why I built this site.
I believe that improvisation and ingenuity are two of the most important things a ninja (or any person) can learn. But a ninja must also be proficient in many other tasks and be flexible to learn.
Often, I see problems having a very simple solution, and many times more than one answer. A ninja must be self-sufficient and be able to survive on his/her own. He/she has to know somewhat trivial things, like how to sew, for example. Basically a jack-of-all-trades, but don't let that frighten you. If you're interested in ninjutsu, you'll fit in just fine here. Because if you enjoy learning it, it's not difficult at all.
I hope this website can be a secure location to share ideas and help each other find the correct path. I don't claim to be a ninja master and I am not the authority on all things ninja. But I may have some knowledge and ideas that some of you do not, as I hope you have some knowledge that I do not have. Hopefully together we can shed light into the truth of ninjutsu and Japanese martial arts, and encourage people to study about Ninjutsu the right way, with the historically accurate resources, and the proper training.
Some things we perceive as fantasy do have a basis in reality and vice-versa, and it's our mission to sort out reality from fiction. Enter now, freely and of your own will.
